Sadie Amara Calvano has become well-known for her character Violet Plunkett that she played in the CBS show Mom. Calvano has a family in California she was initially attracted to in competitive gymnastics. She later decided to pursue a career in acting. Her first appearance on screen was on the screen in 2010 with the CBS show 'NCIS. Her first big-screen appearance came one year later, in the biographical crime-drama film 'J Edgar'. Over the years she's established herself as among the most exciting actors of the current industry. In 2011 she won an award for a Young Artist Award nomination for the Best Actress on a TV Series and guest Actress 11-15. In 2013 she was nominated to win yet another Young Artist Award for her appearance as a guest on Disney XD's comedy series, 'Kickin' It'. Calvano had a role in the cast of Mom throughout its first three seasons and was featured at least a few times in the fourth. In 2015, she won the Gracie Allen Award of Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star due to her role in Mom.
